Terms of use

Mail Gazelle sends transactional email only. Using the service means you accept these terms.

The service

Mail Gazelle is a transactional email gateway. You register a product, verify DNS, and send one-to-one mail over the HTTP API. Registration is invite-only today: public signup is a waitlist until we send you an invite or a teammate invites you.

Transactional mail only

You may send mail that a recipient requested through an action in an application: account verification, password reset, receipts, and product notifications. You may not send unsolicited mail, purchased or scraped lists, bulk marketing, newsletters as a blast list, or cold outreach.

Sending reputation

Mail Gazelle (not Amazon Web Services) is the sender of record. We may pause, disable, or cap sending for a workspace or product when bounce or complaint rates, or other abuse, would harm the shared SES account. We may refuse mail that would violate these terms.

Unlimited features

Domains on Solo, Pro, and Scale, and team members on Scale, have no numeric cap in ordinary use. Normal product use stays uncapped.

We may suspend or disable a workspace when sending breaks the transactional-mail or sending-reputation rules above, or when those unlimited items are used to abuse the platform: mass domain creation, seat resale, or automation that is not a real product.

Enterprise limits are set in the contract.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep API tokens secret. A leaked token can send as that product until you revoke it.
  • Send only to addresses that opted in through the application that triggered the mail.
  • Honor suppressions. Hard bounces and complaints are not retried.

Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in the privacy policy. Report abusive mail on the abuse page.
